The first step in the process of converting your loft is to obtain a quotation, we offer a completely free no obligation home visit and subsequent quotation.

Here at Rooftop Rooms we do not have a dedicated sales team, you will be visited by our CEO Colin, who has extensive hands on experience of both construction and design. His home visit will take between 1- 2 hours, and will involve him obtaining measurements from both the loft space and the existing property. He will also make an inspection of the current heating system and the electrical supply to ensure that the appropriate modifications to the systems are included in your quotation.

Once Colin has made a full inspection of your home he will then sit down with you to discuss your specification and design ideas for the loft. Once he has gathered all of the relevant information he will return to the office to prepare your personalised quotation. The full quotation should be with you in around 7 days time.

Once you have finalised your decision and hopefully appointed Rooftop Rooms as your contractor, our administration team will arrange for the relevant contractual paper work to be drafted. At that juncture a deposit payment of £1500.00+VAT is required to secure a start date and enable us to provide you with the services of our experienced in house architectural team. At this juncture we will help you serve notice to your neighbours in respect of party wall matters, please read the section on party matters for further details.

Once your loft conversion plans are prepared a draft version will be sent to you by email. These draft designs can be tweaked to ensure they reflect your requirements. However, you can be assured that our dedicated construction teams will give you ample opportunity to make any tweaks with internal layout once they are on site with you. This provides the flexibility for you to see the size of the area before making definitive decisions on rooms sizes. We really do provide a hands-on bespoke service!

Just prior to works commencing you will meet your Project Coordinator, who will arrange your pre-start meeting and ensure that you are well informed on what to expect once the construction starts. They will act as your day-to-day point of contact throughout the entire project, taking you from the first day of construction right through to the snagging process and final certification.
